3 in 1 – A rare occurrence

3in1 KohlrabiOne seed leads to one Kohlrabi plant. Kohlrabi is basically a stem modification and the plant has only one stem. However, it was a surprise to see 3 kohlrabis growing in one plant. It was a freak instance. A rare phenomenon. I had seen conjoined vegetables before, but nothing like this. These were perfectly healthy, evenly sized 3 separate kohlrabis (unlike conjoined) growing from the same plant. A first for green bytes farm!

In India, the elders advise against eating conjoined vegetables as the superstition goes – eating a conjoined vegetables leads to the birth of twins. Wonder, what they will say when they see this. Maybe triplets!
