striving for a sustainable living
A newly born fawn found resting in the farm while the doe went out foraging for food. The fawn played out there still and did not even blink its eyes. Even a touch did not invoke a reaction. The fawn had spectacular white dots and beautiful soft hairs on the head. I felt blessed to see a new life in the farm, though the presence of deers in the farm means constant threat to the crops and presence of ticks spreading lime disease. However, I believe, as we humans have encroached into the forests shrinking their natural habitat, we need to learn to live in peace with the biodiversity around. Sustainable living is not only about reducing carbon foot print and using minimal resources, it is living in an inclusive manner with the biodiversity around.
I must say, life is beautiful.
